Gareth Pugh Autumn / Winter 2011

I absolutley love this Gareth Pugh collection, I adore the all black looks with textured leather strap boots (which are now on my wish list) and gorgeous soft draping against some more rigid wool shapes. 

The feminine menswear cast amoungst the powerful women is beautiful and the styling is spot on as usual. The gold pieces at the end are so incredible and will be amazing for editorials, I also like that this season he has brought in a colour; the strong royal blue fits right in with his glorious cuts.

Also check out this film by Ruth Hogben for this collection, it is always great to see Gareth's pieces on film and Ruth always manages to put accross the feeling and movement of them perfectly.

So this is the new installment from the amazing and very talented GARETH PUGH.

Again teaming with Ruth Hogben for this S/S 2011 film I must say its not quite what I was hoping for. I LOVE Gareth Pugh to death and I have loved previous films made with these two collaborating as you can see how the clothes move and it has been crutial for the realisation of the collection, but as for this one; as beautiful as the collection is, I was left feeling hungry for more detail in the clothing, wanting a closer look at the incredible shoes and longing to see the ever amazing styling by Katie Shillinford. I think the video is really interesting but I just need more!
