GILES AW12

Giles AW12. Well what can I say? I didn't see it in person, but I
love it.

I have always liked his clear inspiration, very literal on the clothing, his inspiration this season arising from witches burning on the stake. I actually did branch laser cutting for my degree collection, but this is more beautiful than anything I could have designed or imagined.

My favourite ever collection of Giles' was the AW09, oh those metallic shades and shapes and fur and cuts and hats and the loub boot collab! but I think after years of refinement this may be my favourite collection to date.

The prints are spectacular really, to get that singed effect whilst still looking elegant; genius. The use of colour is incredible as always, Giles is the only person for me who does silvers and greys perfectly.  More importantly the silhouettes of the clothing are always a delight, so feminine and beautiful.

I love Lindeys outfit- the silver branch laser cut with black tulle under, that's what I want to wear to the ballet! That or the last piece, gorgeous.

The Row ~ Autumn/Winter 2012

Absolutley stunning collection from style icons- the Olsen twins.
I love everything about this collection; the strong masculine tailoring set along side the very feminine lace, the grey and brown fur and wool combo's, the powerful silhouettes and that powder blue fur jacket is simply amazing. The styling for this collection is pefection for me and this will be my inspiration for my winter dressing, although with it not even being summer yet I must supress the temptation to start wrapping fur round my head...

Alexander Wang Autumn/Winter 2012

I LOVE WANG because he is always trying something new, this Autumn/Winter he has brought us an innovotive mix of soft shiny silks with thick wool, fur and leather. The shapes are so interesting and the capes that merge two fabrics are facinating. The pallette he has chosen is a sumptuous range from raven black, cloudy day grey, and ballerina pink with hints of maroon, yellow and purple.
The Prodigy remix soundtrack had me excited from the start and as soon as I saw the fur sunglasses I kenw it would be brilliant! I love that he is carrying on the sleevless jacket trend as I am totally coveting it right now...
What a fantastic start to the season, bring it ON fashion week(s) !
