GILES AW12

Giles AW12. Well what can I say? I didn't see it in person, but I 

love it.

I have always liked his clear inspiration, very literal on the clothing, his inspiration this season arising from witches burning on the stake. I actually did branch laser cutting for my degree collection, but this is more beautiful than anything I could have designed or imagined. 

My favourite ever collection of Giles' was the AW09, oh those metallic shades and shapes and fur and cuts and hats and the loub boot collab! but I think after years of refinement this may be my favourite collection to date.

The prints are spectacular really, to get that singed effect whilst still looking elegant; genius. The use of colour is incredible as always, Giles is the only person for me who does silvers and greys perfectly.  More importantly the silhouettes of the clothing are always a delight, so feminine and beautiful.

I love Lindeys outfit- the silver branch laser cut with black tulle under, that's what I want to wear to the ballet! That or the last piece, gorgeous.

JA! JA! JA! Björn Borg

If fashion week is good for anything; it's the parties, and this one was OFF THE HOOK.

We already heard rumours of hot tubs and Robyn performing, but it was oh so much better than that.

We arrived in style in our blacked out people carrier (naturally) to the imposing and spectacular old Battersea Power Station, 

walking through a tunnel (reminiscent of something in E.T) with changing coloured lights, overflowing cocktails, big beds with huge coloured cushions, pine trees complete with snow and seriously incredible food- insane amount of oysters on ice, meatball risotto bowls, potato gratin mini pans, and various meat, salad and fish dishes served on slate.

After deciding that waiting at the bar was for losers, Michael and I took the liberty of picking up a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses, we then sat on the bed area whilst watching the models have a pillow fight.

After the Björn Borg fashion show (and the last of the wine) I popped to the bar again but alas no bottles of wine left. So I picked up the next best thing, a bottle of Cointreau and some cordial...

Michael then had to go collect the mixer.

So fed and watered (with our own little make-shift bar on the corner of the stage) we danced to tunes spun by the adorable Pixie Geldof, and then were treated to the musical delights of Coco Sumner and Robyn.

ZANA BAYNE ~ Harness Heaven

Charlie and I were so excited to see Zana Bayne and Thomas Blakk's new collection presentation for fashion week, especially as they had come from across the pond to bring us these amaze harnesses and bags for us to drool over. 

After hopping in a taxi (something we did perhaps a little too much over fashion week) realising we were going to be late, "it starts at 7 right?" 'yeah I'm sure, wait let me check.... ohhh shiiiiiit it's 5-7!!!' 

*cue manic cab flagging*

But luckily we made it, with just enough time to try on a few bits and pieces from the latest collection.

I am in LOVE with the clear harnesses, I seriously need one in my life. 

Charlie once said to me 'Zana knows a girls harness' and she is totally right. Zana picked out a white leather spine-like piece for Charlie to try, this is a pretty spectacular piece it is so interchangeable and can be worn front or back.

Other pieces that caught my eye were the amazing skull face harnesses in black and white, trying it on it felt so luxurious and had a perfect weight to it, all of Zana's pieces are finished so beautifully, she makes playing with leather look easy, like the floral headband with sculpted petals in thick black leather- seriously incred.
