Dr Martens ~ First And Forever

NEW EXPERIENCES SHAPE US. FIRST TIMES DEFINE US. SINGLE MOMENTS STAY WITH US FOREVER.

Getting the opportunity to be one of the first to preview both the new collection and film for Dr Martens new campaign was both an honour and a pleasure.

Screened at one of my favourite places in East London- The Aubin Cinema, we were welcomed to a relaxed atmosphere with The Heartbreaks DJing some smooth tunes and the most incredible expresso martini's and lychee cocktails to sip on whilst we perused the latest from the iconic brand.

I had the pleasure of meeting Damien, the creative director and he explained to me the thoughts behind the classic feel of the collection, back to basics with black and cherry red. I completely fell in love with the cherry red pony skin shoes as soon as I saw them, I can tell they will be quite the sought after item when they are available at the beginning of September.

The film and campaign shot by Gavin Watson features two British babes- Agyness Deyn and Ash Stymest; who couldn't be more perfect for the brand.
The film was screened at exactly the same time here and in New York, it touches on first heartbreak and I feel it reflects that pretty darn well.
Aggy narrates- "I suppose it's like mourning isn't it? It's as if someone died, because you're so invested in that person; it's as if that part of yourself has died you know? It's gut-wrenching. I suppose you're both like yin and yang, and then you have to try and feel whole yourself again. Because when you are in a relationship you are kind of meshed in a way."

Featuring the fabulous faces of Charlie, Kit, Osman, Mariana, Alex, Sabrina, Nevaz, Michelle, and big thanks to Nik and Sophie at Exposure for having us!
