Friday evening we were invited to Cafe Luc, a gorgeous little brasserie on Marylebone High St, where we were invited to sample the selection of delectable treats from the beautifuly crafted Belgiun and French influenced menu. We were greeted into the comfortable resturant by the lovely owners Julie and Laurent, who made us feel at home the whole night.
Starting with some delicious cocktails I went for the tea infused mojito and a long island iced tea, when settling down to the table and trying to decide between all of the amazing dishes, we were urged to try the steak tartare; the best in London, and they wern't wrong, it was a simply exquisite dish and I would recommend that everyone must try it. Opting for the slightly less adventurous main, I chose the Carpentras truffle tagliatelle in a rosemary cream, and being a pasta girl; this was absolute heaven. Finishing the meal with salted caramel, vanilla and speculoos ice cream was a treat and accompanied with wonderful company and great conversation it was a night to remember.
If you are looking for a different great resturant to eat in, this is the one, from the food to the atmosphere this is a fine dining experience and highly recommended, independently run you wont find another like it, I will be back soon to try the new afternoon tea!
Thanks to Alix and Kat for organising the event and Julie and Laurent for having us.
J'entends beaucoup parler de ce restaurant, après ton post, c'est certain je vais y aller sooon. Je le ferai découvrir à l'une de mes très bonnes amies a Londres....peut être pour l'afternoon tea.
