Gucci Autumn/Winter 2011

I love the colours in this collection, I usualy am not big on lots of colour but this just works. First with those rich sea blues and greens, then the rust oranges and plum purples, some gorgeous greys in the middle and finally hits of pinks and gold in flowing chiffon gowns complete with floral details.

Frida Giannini has successfully created a new exciting colletion for the elegant, sexy, sophisticated woman. I am adoring the fur and leather textures together and that silky blue jumpsuit is simply amazing.

Animal Inspired Fashion Gone Too Far?

Haven't you heard; wearing a chicken on your head is so hot right now...

Backstage ~ Katie Eary

I have always loved Katie Eary, from the very beggining. I love how playful she always is with colour, texture and themes, this collection has got to be my favourite though.
Frankenstiens monster was the inspiration for the collection and it comes accross brilliantly; bolts and studs, horror green, tarantula print, laser cut cobweb cages and laced bags and masks, all together created the horror theme so well. I also loved the cuts of the coats, the details in the arms were my favourite, such gorgeous shapes, I seriously need one.
The green sequin number was sensational and I loved the spiked cobweb bustier, it was nice to see a bit of womenswear thrown in especially with those shoes!

Backstage ~ James Long

James Long is always my most anticipated show for London Menswear day. I always enjoy his new knitwear and leather creations.
This Autumn/Winter James has brought us pops of purple and yellow amounst a pallette of greys and navy blue, the textures are amazing together, and I absolutley love that cow leather jacket.
I think what makes this collection work so well is all of the layers, it gives it so much depth and allows peeps of colour to show without it being a block.
